Bob has been involved in hockey and baseball since a young age, as a player, coach, manager, trainer, referee, umpire, convenor, executive member but most of all as a VOLUNTEER.

Refereed junior and senior hockey with the OHA for 25 years

Served as trainer with the Mooretown Flags for 5 years

Minor hockey coach and trainer

Representative on the OHA Jr C council

Bingo chair for Mooretown Flags for 20 years

Executive Member with the Mooretown Flags for 25 years with the past 22 as President.

Our Mission is to create an atmosphere in which players support and respect one another while never compromising the rules of the game. To encourage and expect our players to respect their opponent, coaches, managers, and officials. To exhibit good sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and fair play. Our league is dependent upon the commitment and dedication of our many volunteers, which are expected to deal with one another with courtesy and mutual respect and make the game of hockey fun for all participants. To ensure that our players not only learn hockey skills but life skills that will help them be model citizens within our communities.

 

Player Of The Month for January

The Great Lakes Jr. C player of the month for January is Dan Lumley. The Flags have gone 6-1-1 in January and Dan has led the way with 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points. Dan will receive his award at a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
